Camera Operation 101:
- How point 'n shoot cameras work and don't work
- Downloading - get the photos out of the camera and into a computer
Photography 101:
- All the basics you need to know before you start shooting
- Enough tips 'n tricks to get you creating great photos from the start
The Legal Stuff - Your rights, the rights of others, and how to stay out of trouble
Discussion about the "big project" we'll be creating this week
First Shoot (Subject matter TBD)
Assignment - "Make New Friends": Use your camera and new-found skills to make friends by taking portraits of 12 of your fellow students from the 3D, Audio, Illustration and/or Programming classes
Day Two:
Download and critique pictures shot for yesterday's assignment
Gimp 101:
- Intro to the interface, what's where - and how to get there
- Photo processing basics
- Fun with filters
Second Shoot (Subject matter TBD)

Gimp 200: More advanced processing techniques
